Domino's commitment to world-class excellence in the manufacture and distribution of coding and printing solutions has earned recognition from the UK government and industry bodies. Domino's outstanding achievements include: 

 

Queen's Award for Continuous Achievement in International Trade

Domino has been awarded the UK’s most prestigious award for business performance: the Queen’s Award for Continuous Achievement in International Trade. This recognition, the company’s fifth since 1985, affirms Domino’s position as the one of the UK’s leaders in continuous growth and export.

The Continuous Achievement in International Trade Award has been awarded to Domino for substantial overseas earnings with growth and commercial success, sustained over not less than six years, to levels which are outstanding for the goods or services concerned and the size of the company’s operations.

 

 

Domino East of England Award Winners

East of England Business Awards

Domino wins East of England Business Awards – Quoted Company of the Year| and Business of the Year|. Organised by the regional title Business Weekly, the Awards have been held annually since 1990 and are designed to reflect the strength of business in the East of England and to provide the inside track on the companies and clusters that will shape the growth of the region’s economy in the years ahead.

PLC Awards 2010

Domino Printing Sciences plc, has been named Company of the Year at the 2010 PLC Awards|. The award was presented to group managing director Nigel Bond and finance director Andrew Herbert on March 10, 2011.
Domino group managing director Nigel Bond says "that one factor contributing to last year’s performance was the company’s strong commitment to research and development, which last year saw a record investment of £15.6 million. “As a result of this policy, Domino was able in 2010 to launch a whole series of benchmark products, which we will continue to roll out in the coming months”.

Domino wins FTSE4Good award 

FTSE4Good Index September 2009

Domino has received national recognition for its responsible business practice and been accepted into the FTSE4Good Index| - a prestigious index for leading globally responsible investments

The company is now a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series , having met all criteria in relation to environmental sustainability, developing positive relationships with stakeholders and upholding and supporting universal human rights.

Inclusion also depends on a company being able to demonstrate that it has the policies and management systems in place to help address relevant corporate responsibility risks.

Nigel Bond, Group Managing Director, said: “We were delighted to hear that Domino has met the corporate responsibility inclusion criteria for the FTSE4Good Index and we are now a member. This ties in with our business ethos which includes open communication with both customers and staff as well as setting and achieving high standards in terms of environmental sustainability”.

In 2007 the Domino UK Green Team managed to win two major awards in environmental excellence:

Green Apple Gold Award - major prize in the International Green Apple Awards 2007 | for Environmental Best Practice with the National Gold Award in recognition of what the staff and Green Team have achieved to help protect the environment.

  Commercial recycling champion - part of the Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management |for achieving a 66% reduction in landfill waste at Domino by the adoption of a rigorous recycling strategy.

Award for People Effectiveness, in recognition of the input of Domino staff and their proactive involvement    in all aspects of the company’s operation.

 

 

 

 

 

Accreditations

 

Domino's commitment to quality is reflected by the ISO 9000 series of quality assurance accredited manufacturing plants in UK, USA and China as well as subsidiaries in UK, Spain, France and The Netherlands.  Wiedenbach Apparatau, a Domino Group Company has also achieved ISO9001.

 

 

In addition to this, Domino's  printer plant in China and fluid factories in the UK, China and USA have achieved the latest ISO14001 accreditation for environmental management and improvement. The accreditations were awarded as a result of continued efforts to reduce the plants electricity consumption without reducing production and reducing plant waste through recycling.
