Domino Printing Sciences Plc, a UK company based in Cambridge is a world-leader in ink jet and laser technologies offering total coding and printing solutions. A world expert in its field, Domino is renowned for the quality and reliability of its technology and unrivalled customer support.

Our products print variable data such as 'best before' dates, barcodes and traceability codes onto products in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical industries and many more. We offer continuous ink jet (CIJ) and laser printers to code directly onto products and primary packaging. Drop-on-Demand (DOD) ink jet printers are available for large character codes and graphics in secondary packaging. Collectively these three technologies provide a complete coding and marking solution.

In commercial printing, system solutions print addresses, barcodes and numbers onto products primarily in the binding and finishing, plastic card and newspaper industries. Our core technologies include binary and continuous ink jet. These printing solutions add value to customers' businesses, helping them to open up new markets and create new business opportunities.

Founded in 1978, Domino has established a global reputation for the continual development and manufacture of ink jet and laser printing technologies that set new industry standards in quality and reliability.

In 2007 Domino has a turnover in excess of £231.5M and employs over 2100 people worldwide. Through a global network of 16 subsidiary offices and more than 75 distributors, Domino sells to over 120 countries offering extensive customer support. Domino's 10 manufacturing facilities are situated in the UK, Germany, Denmark, Sweden , USA, China and India, including group companies Sator, Mectec and Easyprint.

Our success is built upon close relationships with our customers offering coding solutions tailored to meet their specific requirements.  We achieve this by offering a consultative approach which determines the most appropriate complete solution for our customer including specialised applications, excellent service support, easy ordering methods for consumables and professional training.

Domino Group Companies

The Domino Group includes Sator and Alpha Dot, two of the world's most respected names in laser and drop-on-demand technologies. Since February 2004, the Group also includes Wiedenbach, a leading supplier of sector-specific continuous ink jet printers and special application solutions. The acquisition of these companies has enabled Domino to offer quality products for a complete range of coding and printing applications.

• Alpha Dot Ltd , has established itself as an industry leader in innovative large character ink jet offerings. These innovations have aided Domino in setting new standards in quality for outer case coding.
• Enterprise Information Systems, Inc (EIS), the leading automatic identification and data capture systems integration specialists based in Dallas, Texas.  EIS specialise in the deployment of RFID technology integration to provide traceability solutions throughout the supply chain and is part of Domino’s Integrated Solution Group.
• Purex International Ltd is a one of the world leaders in the field of fume extraction and purification. Purex develop and manufacture systems for a wide variety of industries including laser marking and engraving, soldering processes and inkjet printing. Purex manufacture the Domino DPX fume extractor range to compliment the laser range.
• Sator Laser GmbH based in Hamburg, Germany, is a world leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of laser technology. Sator's advanced technologies have been adopted to expand Domino's range of laser printing solutions.
• Photon Energy GmbH/ NWL Lasertechnologie GmbH, based in Ottensoos, Southern Germany, broaden the solution capabilities of Domino in the field of industrial laser marking.  Photon and NWL have 20 years experience in the design and manufacturing of solid state lasers, i.e. Nd:YAG, Vanadate & Fibre lasers, for applications from technical marking of industrial components to individual parts marking, e.g. for the automotive industry.
• Wiedenbach Apparatebau GmbH based near Radolfzell, Southern Germany, is one of the world’s leading suppliers of sector specific continuous ink jet printers and special application solutions. This expertise allows Domino to offer its customers specialist value added products and services.
