What is REACH?REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals and is the new European law on chemicals which entered into force on 1 June 2007. It will require all chemicals used in Europe to be classified in REACH over a period of several years. Manufacturers and importers will be required to gather information on the properties of their substances, which will help them manage them safely, and to register the information in a central database. Domino and REACHREACH will require all of the several hundred chemical raw materials used in Domino inks, make-up, wash and related fluids products to be progressively classified under the REACH legislation. What is Domino doing to get prepared for REACH?Domino is giving REACH a very high priority: in order to be well prepared for REACH a REACH steering committee including regulatory affairs, research & development, manufacturing and marketing was established:
Domino is closely monitoring the progress of the legislation as it evolves. In addition, Domino has retained the services of an experienced consultant in this area to a fully up-to-date understanding of developments in the legislation.
