What we do

Domino Amjet, Inc. (DAI) is the nations leader in ink jet and laser technologies offering total coding and printing solutions. A world expert in its field, Domino is renowned for the quality and reliability of its technology and unrivalled customer support.

Our products print variable data such as 'best before' dates, barcodes and traceability codes onto products in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical industries and many more. We offer continuous ink jet (CIJ), laser and thermal transfer overcoding (TTO) printers that code directly onto products and primary packaging. Drop-on-Demand (DOD) ink jet printers and Print & Apply labeling systems are available for large character codes and graphics in secondary packaging. Collectively these technologies provide complete coding and marking traceability solutions.

Domino Amjet, Inc. also offers commercial printing system solutions. We offer print addresses, barcodes and numbers printing onto products primarily in the binding and finishing, plastic card and newspaper industries. Our core technologies include binary and continuous ink jet. These printing solutions add value to customers' businesses, helping them to open up new markets and create new business opportunities.

Who we are

Since its beginnings in Cambridge , UK in 1978, Domino has evolved into a world leader in its field.  Providing innovative solutions in inkjet printing and laser coding, the Domino network has expanded into a multinational corporation, supporting 16 subsidiaries worldwide, and employing over 1,600 people. 

In 1983 a partnership between American Can and Domino Printing Sciences made American Technologies a distributor for Domino Printing Sciences. In 1988 Domino Printing Sciences bought this distributor, changed the name to Domino Amjet, Inc. and moved fluid and printer production to Gurnee , IL . 

The North American market is served by three subsidiaries: Domino Amjet, Inc. in Gurnee, Illinois for the USA, Domino Printing Solutions Inc. for Canada and Domino Printing Mexico s. A. de C.V. for Mexico. Surpassing both technical and geographical boundaries, Domino plans to continue its success in innovation, and looks with pride over the last two and a half decades of achievement. 

Our success is built upon close relationships with our customers offering coding solutions tailored to meet their specific requirements.  We achieve this by offering a consultative approach which determines the most appropriate complete solution for our customer including specialized applications, an excellent Technical Service Group, easy ordering methods for consumables and professional Training.
