Domino’s Digital Printing Solutions Division serves the commercial printing sector in providing digital inkjet printers and control systems that deliver solutions for a complete range of labeling and variable data printing applications.

The Domino Group employs more than 2,800 people and operates in over 120 countries. The company has manufacturing facilities in the UK, US, China, Germany, India, Sweden and Switzerland.

In 2017, Domino Printing Sciences was honored with its sixth Queen’s Award – the UK’s most prestigious award for business performance. This latest accolade was for the innovation of our A-Series i-Tech range of industrial continuous inkjet printers. Prior Queen’s Awards had recognized Domino’s technological expertise, excellence in export and international trade.

At the MX Manufacturer Awards 2018, a contest co-organized by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Domino won the Operational Excellence Award and was shortlisted in the People & Skills category. Domino won the program’s Supply Chain Excellence award in 2017.

In 2016, Domino’s 7-color N610i digital inkjet label press won the European Digital Press Association’s award for the Best Label Printer category. 

The same year, Domino’s Cambridge site won the Best Electronics and Electrical Plant award in Cranfield University’s annual factories award program.

Domino Printing Sciences’ Global Account Director for Multinational Accounts & OEMs Tim Paul was named Chairman of the UK’s Processing & Packaging Machinery Trade Association (PPMA) in December 2018. Domino is also a long-standing member of the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PPMI) based in the US.

Our membership in the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Manufacturing gives our teams access to the university’s world-leading research facilities, as well as to its insight into materials, inks and technology.

As a member of the European Printing Inks Association (EuPIA) since 2008, Domino has contributed to its working groups. Domino also provided expertise in the formulation of its Good Manufacturing Practices: Printing Inks for Food Contact Materials.

Similarly, our membership in the UK Campden BRI provides Domino access to the scientific, technical and advisory services needed to ensure product safety and quality, process efficiency and product and process innovation.

Domino is a member of GS1, the association underpinning global standards for business communication through data management of the unique set of numbers used in barcodes.

As such, GS1 partners in our delivery of globally-compliant barcoding solutions.
