Analytical chemist
A global leader in the development and manufacture of inkjet fluids, we require an analytical chemist to join our R&D team in Cambridge. In this position your goal is to carry out a range of duties with a major emphasis on development of GC, GC-MS, LC and LC-MS methods for trace analysis.  You will be responsible for planning and undertaking experiments intrinsic to ink development projects, adhering to regulatory compliance requirements. As an Analytical Chemist you will be part of the expert analytical function and work closely with colleagues in the R&D department.
This role requires strong communication skills and involves working closely with the wider R&D team. Aiming to build strong working relationships whilst providing a contribution to the development teams within the company.
  • GC, GC-MS, LC and LC-MS method development, trace analysis and structure elucidation. 
  • Ensure experimental plans adhere to regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Communication with colleagues to define requirements and to turn data into valuable knowledge. 
  • Maintain accurate up to date laboratory records.
  • Work to the highest laboratory and safety standards.

  • BSc in chemistry


  • Good theoretical understanding of chemistry, chromatography and mass spectrometry
  • Excellent sample preparation skills
  • Experience with routine GC and LC operation highly desirable
  • Experience with GC-MS and LC-MS techniques preferred
  • Experience with quantitative analysis preferred
  • Recent graduates will be considered.
