REGULATORY CONFORMANCE SPECIALIST (fixed term contract)

Are you a regulatory professional with a background in Chemistry and working knowledge of REACH and CLP?

We are looking for an experienced person to provide assistance group wide on regulatory conformance issues relating to the design, manufacture and sale of inks and other fluid products which form our Marking Materials range.  Since being acquired by Brother Industries, a global household name with a diverse business portfolio, Domino are entering an exciting period of growth.  Together, we are building a strong future for Domino in industrial printing, creating challenging and rewarding career opportunities in Research & Development in order to bring new and innovative products to the market.   

You’ll be joining our small in-house Regulatory team, who ensure that all our inks and related products comply with relevant legislation and can be sold worldwide without any issues. You will provide regulatory insight, guidance and support during the development of new Marking Materials products and ensure that Domino Group companies and wider business teams have access to the appropriate regulatory compliance documentation.  You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that regulatory information relating to Domino products is accurate and up to date. 

We’ll need you to be an analytical and conceptual thinker, able to use your initiative and take a results orientated approach to work.  You’ll need to have excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to liaise directly with other regulatory functions in order to promote and advise on the use of Domino fluids.  We’ll also expect you to keep up to date with regulatory requirements from regions and sectors around the world and provide appropriate business updates.  We will also support membership of CHCS or other relevant community.

 As well as a degree in Chemistry (or related subject), a rigorous scientific background and experience in regulatory affairs, we’ll be looking for:

  • Excellent understanding of REACH and CLP regulations, with demonstrated experience
  • Experience in Safety Data Sheet authoring (using software application)
  • A keen interest in the global regulatory landscape
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form
  • A basic understanding of toxicology and eco-toxicology would be advantageous.

 The role will be for a period of approximately 12 months to cover maternity leave.
