About the role

This is an exciting opportunity within the UK IT Team based at our HQ near Cambridge. The UK team deliver IT services to staff and sites across the UK, both within the buildings and to the hundreds of staff working from home. The UK has a mix of R&D, manufacturing and office facilities at these sites. 

We provide deskside support, networking, virtual server and business systems support and implementation; everything that is required to ensure that our UK employees can carry out their roles effectively. 

This role is ideally suited to an individual with experience of IT support in a business and the enthusiasm to learn more. 

One of the key responsibilities will be assisting our 1st line support team who handle requests through our service desk system. Providing additional technical support as well as helping to deliver improved services to our internal customers. 

The role will require support of the infrastructure that keeps our teams working: Windows based virtual servers, Windows laptops and desktops, business applications running on our servers, network cabinets, network connectivity, Wifi, mobile phones. 

You would be using recognised business tools: VMware, Active directory, AD Manager, Office365, SharePoint.  You would be supporting business communications through an 8x8 cloud phone system and Microsoft Teams. 

We capture and generate knowledge to help our team and our internal customers. We have a strong technology roadmap to transform the business; we are looking for a candidate who will be motivated to help us to transition successfully between the old and the new.

This is a full-time role in our HQ, with the occasional need to travel to other sites to assist with their services. 

You will need to work independently in all parts of our sites and possibly at times when other Domino staff are not present.  For this reason, the role requires you to complete the Aviation Security clearance background checks as set out by the Civil Aviation Authority.  This includes a Disclosure and Barring Service check and evidence of work/education positions dating back 5 years. Further checks may be required if there are gaps in work/education history or if the 5 years includes extended periods outside the UK.
