Summer Student - Development Engineer
A keen summer student is required to support the development of image quality analysis tools and techniques. The applicant should have an eye for detail and enthusiasm for solving problems. This placement is for the summer holidays for a school leaver or University Student looking to gain experience in an Engineering environment.
The applicant will be required to analyse print samples using existing hardware and software and collate the data in a useable format. Assessing the results and looking for correlations between printing conditions and measured results to determine key factors influencing print quality.
You will work as part of a small team, communicating results is important. Presenting findings at group meetings and also generating written reports is likely.

- GCSE / A-Level Maths, Physics

- Experience in recording and presenting data.
- Writing reports and procedures.

- Numerical analysis of data using appropriate software tools.
- General computer skills (i.e. office suite, setting up hardware, connecting instrumentation …).
- Programming, MatLab an advantage.
