ABOUT THE ROLE -  Domino Cloud Support Engineer

Day to day activity to include support of Domino Cloud Remote Monitoring system.

Reporting and analysis on a regular basis for internal stakeholder update and identification of potential improvements in functionality, admin procedure and for cost-reduction.

Advice and resolution for technical problems occurring in the field, such as lack of connectivity or network/printer configuration issues.

Support project activity in the development of Domino Cloud Remote Monitoring system as the platform evolves to link with other systems and new printers are added.

This role supports a customer-centric approach, where the shift is from ‘product’ to ‘service’.   Remote monitoring enables this digital transformation through key features and real-time insight to customer needs.



Support of all online tools used in the administration of Domino Cloud and regularly report on their performance.

Support improvements and new features in the Domino Cloud Remote Monitoring system.

Analysing and identifying cost-reduction opportunities in system costs and administration functions.

Advise Channels and Distributors on cellular connectivity for specific customer installation locations (3G coverage).

Assisting Channels that might chose to set up and administrate their own Remote Monitoring services, as required.

Day to day support of the Domino Cloud Remote Printer Monitoring Service including investigating and reporting on issues.

Administration of new and existing Domino Cloud customer accounts.

Regularly reporting on system performance, with agreed key metrics and identifying potential improvements.

Managing monthly SIM ‘pooled’ data volume & overage charges.

Checking supplier invoice accuracy against monthly data (DCD) & Cloud Service (DCS) usage.

  • Graduate Technical Support Administrator with an IT/Network/R&D background



  • Fundamental skills in WAN network & firewall administration plus troubleshooting network issues.
  • Basic familiarity of Linux command-line experience.
  • Knowledge of IoT networks and protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA & Intercomm5 useful but not mandatory.
  • Experience in remote communications using (3G) cellular data networks around the World a benefit.



  • Computer literate and proficient in common Microsoft office packages.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues down to low levels of data analysis.



Works well in a team, but can also work on own initiative.

Excellent organisational, communication and people skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and ability to spot errors in both numerical data and text.

Methodical and logical approach to tasks, comfortable working to deadlines.

Eager and quick to learn new skills.
