ABOUT THE ROLE - Technical Product Specialist


1. To evaluate print head performance through print testing.

2. Root cause analyses of RMA returns.

3. To perform cost effective repairs.

4. Capturing and analysing data.



  • Ensure that print heads perform to high standard before entering production.
  • Document and collect print samples relating to print head serial number.
  • Provide regular updates relating to yield and demand.
  • Liaise with channel support to ensure approved print heads are despatched in a timely manner.
  • Root cause analyses of RMA returns. 
  • Inspect and test returned equipment before giving feedback relating to warranty conclusion.
  • Provide detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during functional testing to assist in component-level troubleshooting to be used in the field.
  • Assist in the resolution and response to channel support queries and requests.
  • Capture trends relating to field failures to enable product improvement.
  • Ensure escalation to 3rd level support if required
  • To perform cost effective repairs.
  • Perform repairs on equipment by replacing components on modular units.
  • Follows all applicable work instructions to perform repair and testing processes.
  • Conducts complex quality inspection of own or other’s work to insure workmanship standards are met.
  • Follows all procedures, health and safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly workstation.
  • Capturing and analysing data.
  • Capture trends relating to field failures to enable product improvement.
  • Use internal software to analyse and improve data handling.
  • Cost analyses relating to RMA and Repairs
  • Maintain an up-to date knowledge-base of the N-Series and develop strategies to ensure that it can be shared within Domino.

  • Degree preferable but HNC / HND would be considered for highly experienced candidate
  • Previous experience within the printing industry. Inkjet knowledge is preferable.


  • Technical experience within the printing industry preferred.
  • Experience of dealing with and solving complex technical issues.
  • Inkjet, Inks, Curing, Surface tension interaction and substrate knowledge all preferable.


  • Ability to communicate internally with peers and managers
  • Articulate – be able to explain a technical issue at the level appropriate for the user.
  • A passion for Customer Service

  • Microsoft Products including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Salesforce or ServiceMax would be advantageous.
