About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing team of New Product Introduction Chemists/Chemical Engineers at Domino’s newly built global flagship ink manufacturing facility in Liverpool. The team is growing from 4 to 5 people to enable to keep pace with Domino’s expanding portfolio of Coding and Marking inks and in particular, Domino’s rapidly evolving Digital Ink range.

The role is essential to maintain Domino’s position at the forefront of ink technology, to ensure an efficient and accurate transition of new technology from laboratory into full production, ensuring Domino consistently delivers the highest standards of regulatory compliance whilst reacting to the needs of our global customers.

Your contribution to the team will be fundamental in setting our fluid plant up for success. Using your knowledge, you’ll be the subject matter expert in assessing the suitability of new ink designs for manufacture in our fluids manufacturing plants as well as developing manufacturing protocols and assessing and managing the installation of any new manufacturing equipment. You will need to assess the new ink designs for suitability for consistent and sustainable manufacture and developing new test methods will ensure the quality of the products we are known for. You will be a key member not only of the Liverpool manufacturing site but also be responsible for the transfer of new products into our other fluid manufacturing sites in America, India and China. Working with our colleagues across all functions of the business,  you will be a key, high profile member of the new product development team to successfully deliver the new technologies that are needed to maintain Domino’s market leading position in the Coding and Marking and Digital Print markets.

About you

As a qualified Chemist or Chemical Engineer, you’ll be driven and looking for a role which offers variety, responsibility, profile and the ability to advance your career within a global organisation.  Ideally you will have experience in product formulation and production of coatings or inks. You will be skilled in using statistical analysis to analyse raw material and production variations, enabling robust assessments of materials, manufacture variation and manufacture specifications. Previous experience with ERP systems, GMP guidelines, preparing SOP’s, Risk Assessments and HAZOP’s would be beneficial. The breath of this role will require you to use exceptional communication and relationship building skills when forming effective relationships with local and global colleagues from operations team members to senior managers.
