Ax-Series - How to Clear a Blocked Nozzle
Safety Note
WARNING |
Hazardous Chemicals. Risk of eye and skin damage. |
 |
Wear protective equipment such as gloves and glasses when near the printer.
Contact with chemicals can cause skin or eye damage. Refer to Safety Data Sheet. |
CAUTION |
Ink Viscosity Hazard. Risk of Going Out of Printer Operating Limits. |
 |
Switch off the printer before starting this procedure.
If the printer is running when this procedure is done, wash fluid may be sucked into the ink system through the gutter. This may cause the viscosity of the ink to become too thin. |
CAUTION |
Contamination Hazard. Risk of Printer Damage. |
 |
Do not remove the nozzle assembly from the print head.
Removing the nozzle assembly can cause contamination to enter the ink system. The nozzle assembly is also tuned to the print head. If the nozzle assembly is removed, it will need to be re-tuned. |
Step 1
Clear a blocked nozzle as follows:
- Ensure the printer is in the Idle state
See: How to Switch Between the Ready State and Idle State
