Explanation |
| Name |
Enter the name of the counter element. |
| Format |
Input the required counter format:
0 - Mandatory numeric character (0-9)
L - Mandatory alpha character (A-Z or a-z) |
| Start value |
Input the counter start value. |
| Repeat count |
Enter the number of times the same counter value will be repeated. |
| Show additional properties |
Tick the Show additional properties tick box to show more counter settings. |
| Step |
Enter the number of steps and the direction that the counter will count it, for example:
If the Start value is set to 00 and Step is set to 5, the counter will count upwards from 00 in the following sequence: 00, 05, 10, 15, etc. The counter will reset when it reaches the Upper limit value.
If the Start value is set to 20 and Step is set to -5, the counter will count downwards from 20 in steps of 5 in the following sequence: 20, 15, 10, 05, etc. The counter will reset when it reaches the Lower limit value. |
| Lower limit |
Enter the minimum counter value. When the counter reaches this value it will reset. |
| Upper limit |
Enter the maximum counter value. When the counter reaches this value it will reset. |
| Leading zeros |
Tick the Leading zeros tick box to add padding characters to the counter. |
| Padding character |
If the Leading zeros tick box has been ticked, this setting is used to define the padding character that will be printed. |
| Trigger |
Specify what method will trigger the counter value to update:
Product Detect - The counter will be triggered each time a product detect signal is received.
Another Counter - The counter will update when another selected counter element reaches its Upper limit or Lower limit value. |
