What does 'TIJ' stand for in Industrial Printing?

If you're not familiar with industrial printers, some of our acronyms are confusing - especially TTO, TIJ, PIJ, CIJ and more. 

'TIJ' simply stands for Thermal Inkjet. In Tij printers, ink droplets are heated and as the ink expands, it is ejected from the nozzle.
