Step 1

To Clean the Gutter

  1. Make sure that the printer is on and in the Idle state.

  2. Remove the printhead cover.

  3. On the TouchScreen, select Home > Setup > Advanced > Gutter.

  4. Tick the Gutter pump at maximum speed tick box.

  5. Select the down_icon.jpg  icon on the Information Bar.

  6. Swipe the screen from right to left twice to navigate to the Live status screen.

  7. Look at the Vacuum pressure (mBar) value.

  8. If the Vacuum pressure (mBar) value is more than -180 rpm, it is very possible that there is a blockage of dry ink in the gutter pipe. Squirt a small quantity of wash into the gutter pipe and wait for the Vacuum pressure (mBar) value to become stable.

  9. If the Vacuum pressure (mBar) value is now less than -180 rpm, continue to the next step. If the value is still more than -180 rpm, repeat step 8.

  10. Select the up_icon.jpg icon at the bottom of the screen.

  11. Select Home > Setup > Advanced > Gutter.

  12. Untick the Gutter pump at maximum speed tick box.

  13. Replace the printhead cover.
