CAUSE	REMEDY
The printer cannot detect ink drops in the charge electrode because of a build-up of ink on the charge electrode.	Clean the printhead and restart the printer. Incorrect modulation of the ink jet.	Check the modulation and break-up of the ink jet in the charge electrode. If this is not visible, contact your local support office.

The phase detector or charge electrode is defective.	Contact your local support office.
