Domino scores a treble in national and regional business awards

Domino wins East of England Business Awards – Quoted Company of the Year and Business of the Year.

Domino Printing Sciences plc, the Cambridge, UK-based manufacturer of product identification, traceability and digital printing solutions, has collected two further accolades to add to its recent success in the UK PLC Awards, where it was named Company of the Year. 

At a gala dinner held recently in Cambridge Domino was named winner in two categories at the East of England Business Awards – Quoted Company of the Year and Business of the Year.

Organised by the regional title Business Weekly, the Awards have been held annually since 1990 and are designed to reflect the strength of business in the East of England and to provide the inside track on the companies and clusters that will shape the growth of the region’s economy in the years ahead. The judging panel is drawn from an elite of regional business chiefs and academia.

Domino was selected as Business of the Year from all companies shortlisted in this year’s Awards, with the judges looking for a ‘wow’ factor – strong management, products in demand, clear strategic focus and sustainable growth.

Presenting the trophy, Adrian Seagars of Awards sponsor Birketts LLP, pointed to Domino’s remarkable record of unbroken growth over the 32 years since its foundation and to the company’s success in the UK PLC Awards.

The Award was accepted by Domino’s group finance director, Andrew Herbert and group HR director Vicki Sanderson.

“This rounds off a remarkable month for Domino,” says Mr Herbert. “Having been recognised nationally at the PLC Awards, it’s very rewarding to receive this tribute from business leaders and academics in our region – one of the most dynamic in the UK.

 

“Last year we made a record investment of £15.6 million in new product development, which provide the platform for sustainable success. We also strengthened our global support network to guarantee the high standards our customers expect and this too has paid dividends, with a return to sales growth evident in every region,” he concludes.
