What are some other bottle coding options?

When printing directly on the glass bottles instead of printing on product labels, inkjet isn't your only coding and marking option. Many well-known beverage manufacturers actually utilize CO2 laser marking machines for coding on glass.

Why would a product engineer choose laser over tried and true methods like continuous inkjet? One is not necessarily superior to the other, because we offer both solutions. Instead, if you are looking a coding option that doesn't require as many consumables, laser might be the option for you to consider. 

Like our CIJs, our D-Series laser was specifically engineered for the speed of real-world factory lines for coding barcodes, QR codes, sell-by date codes, promo codes and more - but instead of printing directly onto the glass using our inks, they are, of course, laser etched directly into the glass surface. 

Plus, if you have a line for plastic bottles, laser is an excellent option for those as well. 

During the initial order and installation process, our Engineers will look at your production line, analyze type of glass that you want to code, as well as other attributes to ensure that a clean, clear code is etched into your bottles every time - after all, if it's not readable, what good is it to your consumers?
