Domino’s new, innovative Extrusion Laser Coding Station (ELCS) supports coding requirements in extrusion and rewinding applications. The ELCS offers a CO2 or a fibre laser solution combined with product guidance, length measurement, and high-resolution encoder systems, to provide high-quality coding onto a wide variety of extrusion products, including cables, wires, tubes, and hoses. This laser solution is ideal for permanent coding requirements in extrusion and rewinding applications. The system is capable of handling product diameters from 0.8 mm to 50 mm without requiring focus adjustment when switching between products of different sizes. The ELCS also features a unique lump transfer system for knots and lumps of up to 50 mm diameter, allowing products to pass freely without stopping the production line.The ELCS is a plug-and-play solution which has been specifically designed to suit various installation needs, and for easy integration into existing production lines. The ELCS features hard-wearing guidance parts, which do not require maintenance; and with laser technology, there is no need for inks, solvents, or regular servicing.
