About the role
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual wanting to further their experience and career within Warehousing/Dispatch and Logistics. You will be reporting to the Bar Hill Warehouse Manager and be a part of a dynamic, friendly, and highly motivated team of Warehouse Operators.
This is a site based role and your main responsibilities will include an effective supervision of the delivery of the daily and weekly warehouse plan as well as line management of a team of several Operatives. This aspect of the role is particularly important, and you will be expected to provide effective leadership as well as coaching and development to existing and new / inexperienced team members. You will be responsible for the management of employee issues within the department, including disciplinary, absence management, engagement, performance, and development reviews, etc.
You will ensure that the H&S and Quality standards are adhered to individually and by your team, making sure that appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments are in place and followed.
About you
We are looking for an individual with a significant Warehouse experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment with a great people management skill, and ability to engage, coach and motivate the team.
Flexible and adaptable to react to unexpected tasks or customer demand, able to deal effectively with a high workload and prioritise own and team's tasks accordingly. You need to be able to demonstrate a complete understanding of safety requirements for a busy warehouse. You will have the ability to effectively multitask difficult operations, thinking creatively to solve problems and have the tenacity to drive through to a solution, using continual improvement techniques.
Understanding of modern manufacturing methods i.e., TPM, 6S and Lean techniques will give you an additional advantage.
Background Checks
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references - these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
