The Role

The UK IT team is essential to the success of the Domino business and operates with a positive attitude, capable of adapting to challenges and change. We provide a service that people are dependent on.  If we don't anticipate potential failures, are too slow to react, or take too high a risk in our work, then manufacturing targets will not be met and Domino customers will not be satisfied.
We are looking for someone who will support the IT team in their objectives and daily tasks. You will be trained and will gain experience on the job across a wide range of IT areas including:
•    Management of virtual servers (VMware); providing reliable services to application owners.
•    Network configuration around the site; to allow individuals to connect to the Domino network.
•    Windows PC support; primarily Windows 10 and Office 365/PowerApp applications
•    Management of printers in the factory and offices.
•    Management of mobile, softphone and desk-phone devices.
•    Assisting with hot-desks and audio-visual equipment in our meeting rooms.

We will ask you to get involved in projects with colleagues and assist in the delivery of tasks to time and budget.

You will have the opportunity to work across numerous departments and a variety of different stakeholders including R&D, manufacturing, finance, marketing, HR, sales & service, and many more. You will have the communication and inter-personal skills that enable us to resolve their requests.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to develop a career in IT. The role would be well suited to someone not working in an IT role, but able to demonstrate their confidence in the use of IT technology and looking to start a new career path. It is important to find the right person who understands the importance of good quality customer service, the importance of system reliability for a business, and a passion to learn and improve.
This is a full-time role based at our Bar Hill (Cambridge) site. Although working office hours, there are occasions where the individual would be expected to carry out tasks earlier, in the evening or at the weekend, to avoid disruption to factory/customer services or because of an emergency.

Background Checks

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references - these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
