We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Test Engineer to join our growing Software department of 70+ developers and test engineers.
The Software group are responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of the software for all Domino coding and marking products whilst supporting and developing our infield products.

The key part of the role is to contribute to testing and delivering class leading, reliable software solutions that help our customers manufacture sustainably and reduce waste by utilising our industrial printing expertise. Also, as part of an Agile scrum team, you will participate in the design and development of software, using industry best practice, whilst embedding quality at every step.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the test strategy design and implementation in the project.
  • Write maintainable, robust, and scalable manual and automated tests that cover functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Effectively implement Software Testing Life Cycle (plan, design, execute, analyse and report) and work collaboratively with peers and other stakeholders during each stage of the cycle.
  • Promote the quality mindset while guiding the behaviours and practices of the immediate team around you to achieve the project goals and to continuously improve.
  • Refine, estimate, and plan the product backlog.
  • Contribute to setup, configuration, and maintenance of test environments (HW and SW infrastructure).
  • Help developing test-related processes, tools, pipelines, frameworks, and reporting.
  • Document design details, practices, and process improvements.
To be successful in this role, the following experience, knowledge and skills are desirable:
  • Successful history in delivering and supporting software products throughout the SDLC/STLC and wider product life cycle. Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC.
  • Knowledge of software QA and test function, tools (e.g. Jira and XRay) and processes/practices (BDD, TDD, CI/CD), particularly in an agile working environment.
  • Capability of automating software tests using Python.
  • Demonstrates best practice in version control.
  • Embedded software testing experience.
