About the role
As part of the image quality team, you will be assessing the breakup of droplets using imaging hardware. You will be working on supporting the development of waveforms for driving industrial inkjet printers. The data collected will need to be collated and presented to the team to determine the best outcome. This will work closely with hardware developers as well as the ink development team. In your role you will be generating print samples alongside capturing images of inkjet breakup to determine whether the quality metrics are being met. This data will allow the generation and release of new waveforms for different inks and hardware solutions.
Ideally you will have some software experience so that you can contribute to improving the automation of the waveform development process. This would include automating hardware, such as linear slides and cameras, as well as creating scripts to process data and generate reports.
The output of this work will enhance the image quality and reliability of Domino’s digital printing leading to an uplift in capability of the press.
We are very open to flexible working and this role is able to performed in a hybrid way with a mixture of home and in the lab working due the nature of the role, however we are unable to offer a fully remote opportunity.
About you
We are looking for an individual who has a degree in science/ engineering or the equivalent, someone who enjoys lots of practical experimentation, has the ability to write strong technical reports and procedures. You are comfortable using appropriate software tools for numerical data analysis and have good analytical skills. Having experience in Automation scripting using MatLab would be advantageous. We are looking for someone with a collaborative mindset and who has a desire to continuously learn and grow.
