About the role
This is an exciting role providing IT support for manufacturing systems at the Domino ink plants. The individual will be part of the UK IT team and will work closely with the Liverpool manufacturing teams, 3rd parties, and R&D functions. You will also work with those providing support for these systems in UK, China, India, and US. Your work will include improvements to these systems and the selection/introduction of new solutions.
We operate with Windows devices (servers and PCs) and currently use VMWare on each of our sites. As we introduce new systems or replace existing, we have a cloud first approach, expecting suppliers to offer us SaaS solutions or systems running on Azure/AWS.
Initially you will provide 1st/2nd line support for specific manufacturing systems, but your success will be demonstrated by ensuring that other global IT teams are trained and have the knowledge to provide that same support.
You will grow your understanding of data architecture to ensure that the business systems can operate effectively and accurately.
The systems need regular maintenance and you will work with colleagues to anticipate and reduce the risk of failures.
About you
You will demonstrate that you can deliver a positive customer experience for Domino colleagues that you work with. You will have an understanding of the importance of system reliability and data quality to ensure that our ink plants are effective and can hit their performance targets. You will communicate with colleagues across the globe and will share knowledge and deliver training on the systems that you support. You will build strong relationships with individuals and teams, both in Domino and at suppliers so that they can assist you in meeting your targets. We will develop your IT and business analysis skills, grow your project management skills, and take on opportunities to deliver new solutions.
The role is ideally suited to an individual who wishes to extend their experience of business systems support and who has the enthusiasm to be a future leader of manufacturing system support.
Domino has a range of future opportunities for its employees and you can use your contacts to explore other areas touched by IT, such as digital marketing, R&D, sales, finance.
