About the role
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our fast paced, dynamic business based at our Liverpool site.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the Electrical, Control/Automation and Instrumentation systems on site and drive exceptional performance through line improvements and moving the business forward through CAPEX projects.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Drive to maximise equipment effectiveness of assets through full life cycle
- Provide technical support for Engineering systems including Process Controls, Scada, MES and Instrumentation
- Identify, initiate and manage improvement projects
- Liaise with suppliers to prepare project and CAPEX proposals
- Ensure all projects adhere to current SHEQ standards and comply with relevant regulations
- Ensure that all System Documentation is updated when new systems are installed/upgraded
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure best equipment is sourced and suitable installations are implemented to support the operation and factory requirements
- Ensure all new systems have training plans and materials
- Prepare SOPs and WIs for new equipment in consultation with the operational teams and the maintenance department
About you
You will have a wealth of experience within a similar environment. You should be passionate about customers, people and processes with a strong desire to continuously develop and improve process control and automation (PLCs, VSD, SCADA, Instrumentation and calibration and MCCs).
You will be able to demonstrate supervision of projects including resource and budgetary management and will have excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and solve problems, liaising with all levels of internal stakeholders in the business.
Background Checks
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references - these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
