About the role
This is a part time role, working 22 hours per week over 3 days. Exact working hours can be discussed and agreed with the UK Estates & SHE Manager. The role is predominantly site based.
You will be working closely with our friendly and high performing Facilities and Health and Safety Team. You will be responsible for providing a broad administrative support and assistance to this busy department based in our Bar Hill site. The role will involve extensive interaction with contractors including day to day management and permit to work audits to ensure compliance.
You will also be expected to contribute to the improvement of the processes and systems, create new e-learning modules as and when required as well as review current courses to ensure the content is still applicable. You will be carrying out COSHH assessments, risk assessments, internal audits & workplace inspections.
This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to extend their administrative skills as well as build a good background knowledge of Facilities and Health and Safety Management. Your interpersonal and organisational skills, effective communication as well as collaborative and supportive approach will help you to be successful in the role.
Previous experience of contractor management & SHE in the workplace is not essential as the training will be provided. Knowledge of DSEAR, COSHH and risk assessment would be an advantage.
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references - these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
