Why is Domino's N610i digital UV inkjet technology ideal for the craft beverage market?

Digital UV inkjet printing eliminates the costly setup times and plates associated with conventional printing. This makes it perfect for the artisanal and craft beer sectors, which typically require high-quality, short-run label variations for small, hand-crafted batches.

How did the combination of the Domino N610i and the substrate create a premium effect?

MPS Bristol ran a metallic silver substrate through the Domino N610i 7-colour UV digital ink jet label press. The vibrant UV inks combined with the reflective silver material to generate a high-end, premium aesthetic without requiring expensive secondary finishes.

MPS Bristol Wins Prestigious Print Award thanks to Domino N610i

Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS) Bristol has recently been presented with a coveted Digital Printer Award for a self-adhesive label printed with Domino’s N610i 7-colour UV digital ink jet label press. The packaging solutions and self-adhesive label supplier won this accolade in the ‘Creative Use of Substrates’ category only 6 months after the installation of the Domino press.

The award-winning label was a self-adhesive beer label for Redwell, a craft brewer based in Norwich, Norfolk. Designed specifically for the brewery’s Redwell Steam Lager brand, the label needed to convey a premium appearance whilst also appealing to a younger audience.

Stephen Hancock, UK Sales Manager - Digital Colour, at Domino Digital Printing Solutions said, “We are delighted that MPS has won this award within just six months of taking delivery of the Domino N610i. Printing this label on a silver substrate enabled MPS to achieve the premium effect that their client required. Digital print is ideal for hand crafted beers that are only produced in small batches.”

“Winning such a prestigious print award in such a short time after introducing this technology to the site is a credit to our employees. The award reflects the progress we’ve made and we’re confident we have a lot more to offer”, concluded MPS Bristol’s MD, Andy Walter.
