About the role
As a Coding Automation Pre-Sales Engineer you will play an important part in helping Domino channels provide customers with efficient world-class automated printing solutions. Primarily with regard to using Domino's versatile coding automation software you will provide commercial and technical expertise and guidance, that will enable them to offer value added solutions that increase efficiency whilst reducing errors and minimise waste. Your support will directly influence the channels’ in achieving their sales budgets.
You will work closely with nominated channels to understand the specifics of their markets and provide commercial awareness training and advance technical training that builds on the training provided by the Domino Academy. Your collaboration will equip them to undertake standard installations that will represent the bulk of their coding automation business. Where more complex, bespoke configuration, is required, you will provide consultancy for the aspects they need guidance with; this can range from simple advice to providing proof-of-concepts. The role also includes capturing, packaging and promoting bespoke solutions have been identified as having re-use value for future sales.
You will also manage bug-fixes and feature requests that are identified at the pre-sales stage, working between the channel and the development team to ensure the issues are addressed and manage expectations.
From a technical perspective, this is a varied role requiring you to work with proprietary scripting engine, databases and database programming, network communications and multi-layer protocol analysis.

This role is ideal for someone that has a passion for problem solving through the use of technology and can communicate effectively to determine issues and requirements as well as presenting ideas and solutions. As such, you will be happy working individually and as part of a team, well organised and be comfortable with the responsibility to ensure channels have what they need to effectively promote solutions.
