ERP Project Manager (SCM)

Location Bar Hill, United Kingdom
Type of contractTemporary
Closing Date24/04/2026
About the role
We are looking for an experienced ERP Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a major strategic business transformation. You will join an established team of IT experts, business process leads and subject matter specialists, working collaboratively to deliver a high‑quality ERP solution that supports long‑term organisational growth.

In this role, you will take ownership of test planning, test execution oversight and issue management, ensuring all defects and enhancements are captured, prioritised and resolved through a structured and well‑established process in Jira. You will coordinate test cycles across multiple workstreams, maintain clear reporting, and ensure stakeholders have full visibility of progress, risks and dependencies.

You will work closely with technical teams, functional leads and business users to ensure the solution is robust, well‑tested and aligned to business requirements. This includes facilitating workshops, supporting cutover planning, contributing to change management activities and ensuring readiness for go‑live and post‑implementation support. This is a hands‑on delivery role that requires strong organisation, clarity of communication and the ability to drive momentum in a complex, fast‑moving environment.

The role has the opportunity for hybrid working but with an expectation of attending onsite workshops and team events as needed.

About you
You are a structured, proactive and delivery‑focused project manager with a strong track record of supporting or leading ERP implementations. You thrive in cross‑functional environments and are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels - from technical teams to senior business leaders. You bring a disciplined approach to planning, risk management and issue resolution, and you are comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining a clear sense of direction. You are detail‑oriented when needed, but always able to step back and see the bigger picture of programme outcomes and business value.

You are collaborative, calm under pressure and able to build strong working relationships quickly. You communicate clearly, challenge constructively and bring a positive, solutions‑focused mindset to the team.

Experience Required
  • Proven experience in ERP project delivery, ideally within a large‑scale transformation programme
  • Strong understanding of test management, including test planning, test cycles, defect triage and issue resolution
  • Hands‑on experience using Jira (or similar tools) to manage test plans, defects and workflow processes
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams including IT, business process leads and SMEs
  • Experience working with system integrators or external delivery partners
  • Strong understanding of project governance, RAID management and structured delivery methodologies
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting cutover planning, data validation, UAT and go‑live readiness activities
  • Familiarity with change management principles and business readiness activities (advantageous but not essential)

Personal Attributes
  • Highly organised, structured and methodical in your approach
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical detail into clear, actionable information
  • Confident facilitator who can bring clarity to complex discussions
  • Calm, resilient and able to maintain focus under pressure
  • Collaborative team player who builds trust quickly
  • Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous‑improvement mindset
  • Comfortable working in environments with shifting priorities and evolving requirements
  • Detail‑oriented without losing sight of overall programme objectives
  • Positive, pragmatic and delivery‑driven
