About the role
Joining the PostJet team, you will work flexibly on multiple projects at different stages where priorities may change as support and development activities require. Other objectives will include:

Develop innovative and robust industrial printer solutions for the postal industry and new market opportunities, in-line with company objectives.
Use SolidWorks for concept design, detail development and ongoing support of product requirements.
Refine existing and ongoing optimisation of designs and production processes.
Liaise directly with customers (both internal and external) to capture requirements and resolve issues.
Work with manufacturing providers and teams to understand the core product and oversee final assembly.
Create reports and plans as and where appropriate, updating systems, models and drawings.

We are looking for applicants that thrive in a fast paced, dynamic team and want to grow their experience within a manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will:

Be HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ/Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
Will have previous experience in a similar role, Design Engineering or CAD, preferably within a similar environment.
Be proficient in 3D CAD software and have worked with systems such SolidWorks (desirable), Creo or Inventor.
Could work on multiple projects and manage/adjust to variable priorities, working either independently or as part of a small, multi-disciplinary team.
Be a confident communicator at all levels as you may need to present project updates to team members and managers.
