Over the past few years, the global canned food and aluminum can beverage markets have trended upward as more people have started cooking their own food, storing food at home and recognizing the health benefits of canned fish and seafood. As a result, the canned food industry stands to gain for years to come.

So what can you do if you're a canned food manufacturer looking to boost your tin can production capability? Upgrade your factory with the finest equipment and get ready for growth.

Aluminum can and tin can printing is ultra-easy with Domino's next generation Ax-Series continuous inkjet printers. Easy to set up and operate, our food can coders and food packaging printing machines are extremely versatile and capable of printing clearly onto curved, molded and flat surfaces.

With a ultra-low maintenance, and no need for a complicated set-up, our Ax-Series CIJ printers are designed to give your factory maximum uptime with minimal delays in production during changeovers. We've also made them lightweight to carry, so it's easy to locate them wherever they are needed in your operation.

Plus, their IP66 rating means they can be washed down and are capable of standing up to high-dust and temperature changes, making them an ideal solution for food tin can printing. Our continuous inkjet printers are specifically engineered to stand up to a real world factory environment, warts and all - so you can trust an industrial printer from Domino North America.

Permanent Codes for Tin Food Cans

In specific can tin coding operations with both varnished and unvarnished can ends, laser technology has proven to be a viable option. Similar to the tried and true inkjets, lasers have been used to place both date codes and traceability QR codes onto tin cans with high performance and low maintenance.

That said, lasers must be placed in specific distances from the cans in order to produce a viable code to focus the lengths and spot sizes. If that is viable for your line, then lasers can be brought in and deployed for your operation.
